Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Ruminwright Studios Ltd, which operates Augurine, and they apply when you create an Augurine account or use augurine.com, the native Augurine iOS app, or a shared account service used by either platform. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Ruminwright Studios Ltd. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The iOS app license is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Rights that cannot be waived under applicable law remain in effect.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the higher minimum age required by your jurisdiction. If you are below the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must authorize your use when local law requires it.

3. One account across platforms

Your Augurine account, saved data, and recognized Premium access can be shared between the website and iOS app. Platform features can differ. Website cookies and Stripe checkout belong to augurine.com. StoreKit purchases, APNs permission, widgets, and device-local state belong to iOS. You are responsible for account credential security, activity under your account, and the accuracy of information you submit.

4. The service

Augurine provides chart calculations, Today activation guidance, timing and forecast tools, compatibility and place features, private journaling or evidence features, and personalized interpretations. Availability can depend on platform, account state, birth time quality, location data, plan, network access, or a third-party service. We can change, suspend, or retire a feature while respecting paid access and consumer rights required by law.

5. Free and Premium access

Augurine offers free access and paid Premium subscriptions. Free limits and Premium features can change as the service changes. Current Premium access includes the following service offering: Premium opens full Replay chapter mapping, Future Echoes, exact timing windows, unlimited Predict questions, saved verdict receipts, Inner Circle activations and briefings, seals, deeper Sky Record history, and saved evidence.

Any trial, introductory offer, or promotional price applies only when it is displayed to you before confirmation. The purchase screen states the eligible period, price, billing interval, and renewal terms. Free credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

6. Billing origin and renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the period shown at purchase until cancelled. Your billing provider can charge the payment method on file at renewal. A price change receives the notice and consent required by the billing provider and applicable law.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation follows the purchase origin. For Apple IAP, use the subscription management screen in the iOS app or your Apple Account subscriptions. For Stripe, sign in at augurine.com and open the billing section in Settings. Cancel before the renewal date to prevent the next charge. Access normally continues through the paid period unless a refund, chargeback, provider decision, or law requires a different result.

Apple decides eligibility for App Store refunds. Submit an Apple purchase request through Report a Problem. For a Stripe purchase, email support with the account email and charge date. Stripe refund requests are reviewed case by case, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

8. Account deletion and subscriptions

You can request deletion from iOS Settings or from website account deletion. Either path applies to the same Augurine account across the website and iOS app. Deletion is irreversible after completion.

An active Stripe subscription linked to the account is cancelled before account removal. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription, and Apple can continue renewal until you cancel through Apple. Manage the App Store subscription separately before or after requesting Augurine account deletion. If a required provider cleanup cannot be confirmed, deletion can pause for retry or support review rather than claiming completion.

9. Your content and other people's data

You retain rights in personal information and original text that you submit. You grant Augurine the limited permission needed to host, protect, calculate from, transform, display, and delete that content as part of the service. You must have an appropriate basis to submit another person's birth, relationship, or location data. Do not publish or share generated material in a way that violates another person's privacy or rights.

10. Astrological and generated content

Augurine provides astrological material for entertainment and self-reflection. Calculations rely on identified astronomical data and software methods, but errors and service interruptions can occur. Interpretations and generated readings are subjective. Do not use Augurine as a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, mental health, emergency, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions and actions.

11. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Access or attempt to access another person's account or private data
• Harass, impersonate, exploit, or harm another person through the service
• Bypass plan, credit, rate limit, security, or account controls
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate access except where applicable law expressly permits it
• Use the service or generated content to infringe rights, break the law, or create a competing service from protected Augurine material
• Interfere with service operation, providers, or other users

12. Intellectual property

Augurine's software, interface, product content, trademarks, and service design are owned by Augurine or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These terms grant a personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. Generated readings are provided for personal use and cannot be reproduced commercially without permission, subject to rights that applicable law gives you.

13. Suspension and termination

We can restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect accounts, investigate abuse, comply with law, address payment or security risk, or prevent service harm. We will provide notice and a chance to respond when appropriate. Account deletion, billing obligations already incurred, ownership terms, disclaimers, and liability provisions survive termination where their nature requires it.

14. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without implied warranties, and Augurine is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Where a monetary limit is permitted, Augurine's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not exclude liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be limited.

15. Changes to these terms

We can update these terms when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The page revision date will be updated. We will provide any additional notice or consent required by law for a material change. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance where applicable law permits.

16. Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection right, or the right to bring a claim in your own country of residence, where local law grants it.

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
